Nature Glenelg Trust along with Natural Resources SE and a host of partners bring you the Biodiversity ‘Up Close’ events for 2014 – a series of walks, talks and opportunities for you and the family to meet the experts and learn about the amazing things nature offers across South East of SA and South West Victoria.
Between learning the art and science of botanical illustration; helping to rediscover the rare Silver Xenica butterfly; hearing all about the fantastic creatures on our coastline; checking in on the health and care of our seabirds; taking a walk with bat and bird experts at a new habitat restoration site; and finishing up with a presentation from one of the world’s foremost echidna and goanna experts… there really is something for everyone. Most events are family friendly too so bring them along for a great day out!
The events kick off on Wednesday March 12 with the first session of a 4 week botanical illustration course with local artist Yvonne Riley. See the Up Close events flyer below for more details and get in quick!
