Community Nursery Update – Display Garden News

Students from Tension Woods College recently made a great contribution to the development of the Community Nursery Project – Display Garden out the front of the DEWNR building in Mount Gambier.

The students who are part of the School’s youth environment group helped myself and Drew Laslett from DEWNR to plant a number of our regions threatened species. This planting follows on from an earlier planting by volunteers in August.

Another seven Display Gardens are in various stages of planning at the moment.  These gardens will be in Portland, Warnambool and Dunkeld on the Victorian side of the Border and in Beachport, Naracoorte, Mundulla and at the Valley Lake in Mount Gambier on the South Australian side.
