Mt Burr Swamp media – hear from James Darling, David Baker-Gabb, Damien Cook and more!

Over the past month, we’ve had some great conversations on the ABC South East mornings program each Wednesday – learning a great deal about our regional biodiversity from some highly respected supporters of the proposed restoration project at Mt Burr Swamp.

In this previous post, we revisited the first three interviews from the fundraising campaign, and now here are the next three:

First up, on the 14th of September, we spoke to wetland expert Damien Cook about how wetland plants bounce back following restoration:

Next, during two interviews on the 23rd of September:

  • James Darling explained why he decided to become the project’s first major private supporter:

  • then bird expert David Baker-Gabb talked about woodland birds, and the crucial role that habitat restoration plays for keeping or returning our native birds to the landscape:

We still have two more weeks of this series to go, so stay tuned each Wednesday morning at 9:30 (SA time) on ABC South East as we explore what the restoration of Mt Burr Swamp will mean for our region’s threatened wildlife.

Finally, thanks to the support of Natural Resources South East, we also landed a spot in the latest edition of From The Ground Up:
