Murray crayfish presentations at the Fisheries Victoria fisher forums

Last week, we attended Fisheries Victoria fisher forums at Wodonga and Nagambie, which are part of a series of forums held across the state to get input from recreational fishers and provide an update of recent Fisheries Victoria activities. Aquasave – NGT’s own Sylvia Zukowski was invited to give a presentation on Murray crayfish, where she introduced our Victorian Recreational Fishing Grant project looking at evaluating the status of the species in Victoria and presented results from our broader collaborative project with NSW Fisheries.

The presentation was well received and we received some great feedback on the project.

Cheers
