Wanderer larvae (Danaus plexippus)
Out in the field we also take a few snaps of introduced species, and here’s a couple of them in one shot!
This photo of a Wanderer butterfly larvae (Danaus plexippus) was taken in the Coorong National Park. It’s seen feeding on Wide-leaf Cottonbush (Gomphocarpus cancellatus) which is its larval food plant – it’s pretty picky!
