Two sites in the South West announced as finalists in this year’s Australian Riverprize!

After being fortunate enough to be a finalist in in the River Management Young Achievers Award last year, I am kept up to date with the latest news from the International River Symposium – which this year is being held in Brisbane in September.

In an email yesterday, it was great to see that two of the three finalists for this years Australian Riverprize are from the Glenelg-Hopkins portion of our region:

  1. LAKE CONDAH & DARLOTS CREEK, VIC
  2. GLENELG RIVER, VIC

These sites will be competing with the 3rd finalist, the Tweed River in NSW. To find out more, please have a look at the information on the Riverprize website.

Congratulations to those involved in the environmental works associated with both nominated sites, and best of luck for bringing home the Australian Riverprize in September!
