We’re planning a great day out on World Rivers Day – donate now to secure your invitation to see Neil Murray perform live at Walker Swamp!

Things are now starting to shape up for our exclusive supporters event on World Rivers Day (Sunday 23rd of September, 2018) at Walker Swamp.

In the morning, there will be a range of activities hosted by NGT staff for all ages, like guided birdwatching, bushwalking, waterbug identification, and presentations about the site and NGT’s plans for restoring the wetlands across the property in the future.

Neil Murray will perform an acoustic set live at Walker Swamp on Sunday the 23rd of September. Photo by Larry McGrath.

Then we’ll gather for a free BBQ lunch and be entertained by the region’s own Neil Murray (now a solo artist but also of the Warumpi Band from the 80s and 90s), who has very kindly offered to perform an acoustic set for us after lunch, to celebrate the start of this exciting new wetland restoration project!

To secure your invitation to this exclusive event for our project supporters, all you need to do is make a donation to the Walker Swamp campaign, noting that all donations over $2 are fully tax-deductible.

All donors will be provided with the specific details for this event by email in the week prior, and for those who may wish to travel, there are many accommodation options 15-20 minutes drive from Walker Swamp, in nearby Dunkeld.

Finally, to remind you of what the project is all about – here is our campaign video to refresh your memory!
