THE RESTORATION AND MANAGEMENT OF EAGLEHAWK WATERHOLE

THE RESTORATION AND MANAGEMENT OF EAGLEHAWK WATERHOLE

In December 2013, Eaglehawk Waterhole (a semi-developed 1700 acre former farm) in the Upper South East became NGT’s first Habitat Restoration Reserve

While the purchase of the property was a major achievement, now we are getting on with the task of long-term restoration and management. We are especially grateful to the Australian Government, South Australian Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources and the South East Natural Resources Management Board for helping us to kick start the restoration process.

But what about the longer term, beyond our initial restoration works?

Help us to build a reserve of funds (held in trust), with the aim of re-investing the future interest generated back on the property – to underpin the long-term management of the property, so that it can be kept in great condition (weed and pest free) and enjoyed by future generations.
