Give an environmentally sound gift this Christmas: personalised gift cards now available

It’s a cliche, but doesn’t time fly? As this newsletter reaches your inbox it is less than four weeks until Christmas! Here at NGT we know it can be hard to come up with gift ideas that are ethical and environmentally sound, or just to figure out what to give people who don’t want more stuff.

As a solution to this dilemma, NGT offers personalised Christmas gift cards (electronic or hard copy) recognising that a donation has been made in the recipient’s honour. To claim yours, simply click on the link below to make a donation via PayPal and we will email you to confirm the contents of your personalised Christmas gift card, plus send a donation receipt for your next tax return.

As a guide, we are sharing the following wish-list with suggested donation amounts, but remember that any amount over $2 is tax-deductible – and greatly appreciated!

  • $25 – Increase participation in environmental education. This amount covers a pair of rubber boots for one student to participate in wetland education activities.
  • $50 – Expand habitat for threatened species. This amount covers twenty native seedlings for revegetation plantings at an NGT Reserve. Along with hydrological works, revegetation is a key restoration activity at several NGT Reserves.
  • $100 – Help gather baseline fauna data. This amount covers the cost of one pitfall trap line. Pitfall trapping is an important method used to survey for reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals at NGT Reserves.
  • $450 – Support the next generation of ecologists. This amount covers an environmental education field trip for a local school.
