Snake off: red-bellied v brown
Through our work we get to experience some interesting and unusual things. I had the pleasure (or not depending on how you look at it) to stumble across a red-bellied black snake and a brown snake locked in battle (see footage here, note 25MB). I would have to give the points to the red-belly but am pleased to say that both snakes were able to walk (well slither) away from the confrontation.
Snake fighting (and consuming) doesn’t appear to be that uncommon (based on my quick google search) and for all those brown snakes supporters out there, it can also go in their favour (as evidenced here).
