Up Close events continue with a Butterfly ID Day – Sun March 23

The next Up Close event is on Sunday March 23 at 9.30am SA time, when local butterfly expert Bryan Haywood from Forestry SA visits Dartmoor for an outdoor workshop on the identification of the butterflies of South East SA and South West Victoria. Bryan will bring his own collection of butterfly specimens and will also give an introduction to the threatened Silver Xenica, along with an invitation to get involved with a citizen science program that aims to rediscover Silver Xenica populations.

We’ll have a ramble for butterflies to test our ID skills and will finish up the day with a free lunch. Sounds like a good day out! See the event flyer below for details (or click here for a pdf) and contact Jonathan Tuck to register on 0432 406 486 or
