Clean Up Australia Day 2021! and other upcoming volunteer events

As usual, we have a range of opportunities to get out and about with us over the next few weeks. All are welcome and no particular skills are necessary.

Friday 29 Jan, Kurrawonga working bee, Nelson, Vic

Join Nicole in some property-edge weed monitoring or just come for a bushwalk. If you’re coming from SA, remember that you’ll need the required border permits, as necessary at the time (don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re unsure about this).

Friday 5 February, Cape Douglas rockpool ramble and beach clean, SA

Join Jess in discovering the creatures inhabiting the intertidal zone. There’s always something fascinating to see! We’ll also collect any marine debris we see on the beach in this area. RSVP for carpool and directions.

Friday 12 Februrary, native plant nursery, Mt Gambier, SA

Help out Ryan with regular nursery tasks including potting up, weeding, sowing, and pot washing.

Sunday 28 February, Clean Up Australia Day, Hutt Bay, SA

Over the past 30 years, 18.3 million volunteers have participated in Clean Up Australia Day events! We’ll collect any rubbish we find along the beach and share a barbecue lunch afterwards.
