Brolgas in the mist at The Spit Nature Conservation Reserve

Recently, I was at The Spit Nature Conservation Reserve, situated on the coast between Geelong and Melbourne, which forms part of the Port Phillip Bay (Western Shoreline) and Bellarine Peninsula Ramsar Site. Bird watchers and wetland enthusiasts will know that brolgas are generally pretty quick to move away from people, so I was surprised when these two got quite close. The thick fog must have concealed my presence and I was pleased to snap this misty shot – hope you enjoy it too.
