Busy-bee volunteers in Mount Gambier

The Mt Gambier volunteer crew have been busy recently with a number of activities. A team of eager volunteers joined me for a working bee at Mount Burr Swamp to remove tree guards and do a little hand weeding at the Creations Stories walk area which has been planted over the last couple of years.

Volunteers also helped out with planting around the southern side of the Blue Lake/Warwar. With the sun shining and a great group of people, the 750 seedlings were in the ground in no time.

The Nursery volunteers have also been hard at work preparing and sowing seed to grow for next years’ plantings, including roasting these banksia seed pods.

Below are some volunteering dates over the next month if you’d like to join us.
