Come along to the Orange-bellied Parrot ID workshop in Koroit

Are you interested in learning more about the Orange-bellied Parrot (Neophemea chrysogaster) and where to find them?

Please join us in Koroit on Saturday 5th June for the south-west Victoria Orange-bellied Parrot Workshop from 2pm at the Koroit Theatre Supper Room.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the recent outcomes of the recovery program for the critically endangered Orange-bellied Parrot. You’ll learn how to identify the key grass parrots (Neophemea species) that we look for along our coast, from Nelson to Peterborough. The workshop will include visiting a local Neophemea habitat to develop your skills.

If you’re an existing or past volunteer, we would love for you to come along and share your experiences and refresh your knowledge.

Please RSVP to Jess if you would like to attend (email address also below).

This project is supported by Glenelg Hopkins CMA and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
