Community Nursery Project to officially commence on Monday 16th July
It gives me great pleasure to announce today that Becky McCann has been appointed by Nature Glenelg Trust to be the co-ordinator for the cross-border community nursery project, based in Mt Gambier. Becky will start work on Monday the 16th July, and comes to NGT from a decade of working in Landcare, NRM and biodiversity related projects in SA and Victoria.

In other news, the City of Mount Gambier have kindly agreed to lease a portion of the old Council nursery site at Vansittart Park in Mount Gambier to NGT for the community nursery. Given the prominent location of the site this is a great kick-start for the project, and a very positive way for NGT to commence working in partnership with the City of Mount Gambier – who incidentially have been great supporters of the project since the concept stage back in January.
