Dawn Chorus: A morning of birdsong, Sun 19 May, to be a truly global event
The next Biodiversity ‘Up close’ event is set to take place in a couple of weeks time on Sunday 19 May, and you will be rewarded for waking up a little earlier and making the most of this beautiful part of the day.
Join BirdLife South East SA for a morning of birdsong, learn about bush bird calls, ID and we’ll keep an eye out for the elusive Powerful Owl – the largest owl in Australia. Click here for the low resolution flyer of the event
FREE, family friendly, all ages event that includes a cooked breakfast for those who register (click here).
Our Dawn chorus coincides with BirdWatch Ireland’s Annual National Dawn Chorus Day – the first time this has happened – which will make the day a truly global event! We will swap choruses with our Irish counterparts and aim to play the local and Irish choruses on the radio before and/or after the event.
