A day out at the waterhole – Eaglehawk waterhole planting day

A Nature Glenelg Trust 10th anniversary event

Come and join us at Eaglehawk Waterhole, NGT’s 884ha restoration reserve near Frances, SA.  Eaglehawk waterhole was NGT’s very first reserve, purchased in late 2013, and is home to rare woodlands and critically endangered seasonal herbaceous wetlands.

We’ve seen amazing changes at the property over the past 9 years with wetlands springing back to life and full of wildflowers, a cacophony of frogs and Red-tailed black cockatoos calling overhead as they come in for a drink at the old tank.

But there’s still plenty of work to do, so this year we are holding a planting day to continue the restoration of our important woodlands and ‘wet flat country’, and you are invited to roll up your sleeves and join us.

We’ll be planting in the morning and in the afternoon you’ll get the chance to learn more about the site and have a look around with our team of ecologists.
