Investing the “Jill Hudson Award” cash prize in the long-term future of NGT

In late 2016, I was really honoured to be named as the recipient of the Jill Hudson Award for Environmental Protection in SA, which also included a personal cash prize of $1000.

Ever since, I have been waiting patiently for the right opportunity to come along to put the prize money towards – and today is that day!

With the launch of the NGT Foundation thanks to the initial corporate support of OneFortyOne Plantations, I have also just made the first private contribution of $1000 to help kick things off.

I am especially pleased to think that this prize money will now be permanently preserved in the NGT Foundation, making a sustained financial contribution towards the future management of NGT’s Reserves.

This is a really satisfying result that has been worth the wait!
