Join us at Walker Swamp for birding, camping, or simply relaxing – 30th April and 1st May

With Nature Glenelg Trust turning ten this year, we’re kicking off our celebrations next month in the Grampians – and we’d love for you to join us!

Over the weekend of 30th April – 1st May, Walker Swamp Restoration Reserve will be open for a range of activities including tree planting, bird watching sessions and, if you’re after a more leisurely weekend, just a chance to have a look around and speak with our staff. Feel free to come for an hour, a day, or the weekend.

Sunset over Walker Swamp.

We have planned two dedicated bird watching sessions including a dusk experience at nearby Green Swamp on Saturday, 30th April (where we will hopefully see the brolgas flocking) and a dawn session at Walker Swamp on Sunday, 1st May. To book these sessions please email Paula (); numbers will be capped for these sessions so get in early!

To register your interest for the weekend’s celebrations and receive further details on session times, directions, and what to bring, please get in touch by email here ().

If you’d like to make a weekend of it, you can camp with us on site at Walker Swamp, or alternatively, we highly recommend the nearby Grampians Retreat, nestled at the foot of Mount Abrupt (Mud-Dadjug). Contact Grampians Retreat by phone (03 5577 2257) or email () to make your booking directly with them.

All are welcome, whether you’re a long-time supporter or have only started following us more recently. We hope to see you there!
