Join us! Walker Swamp Volunteer Opportunities and Tree Planting Days for 2023

There has been a busy start to the year up at Walker Swamp with our regular monthly Fieldwork Fridays taking place and many tasks completed, thank you volunteers! The remaining 2023 Fieldwork Fridays will take place on the last Friday of each month. Two Saturday tree planting days are also planned for August and September.

We’d love to have you along, so if you’re interested please email Tom Sheehan () or Lisa McIntyre () to let us know you are coming.

Tasks undertaken include tree planting, weeding, fence clearing, shed renovations and general working bee jobs. We meet at 10am at the bird-watching tower, bring your own lunch. On-site overnight bush camping is also available for people wanting to spend the planned weekends volunteering and immersing in the beauty of Walker Swamp.
