Kids survey turtles and fish at Currency Creek

Investigator College year 5 students saddled up with waders and had the amazing educational opportunity to undertake fish and turtle fish surveys at Currency Creek with Sylvia from NGT and John Freebairn from Investigator College.

Amongst the excited squeals and screams, this year we sampled eastern long-necked turtles as well as a variety of native and introduced fish, shrimp and yabbies. During the hands on experience, students measured, identified and counted animals, and learnt about the importance of conservation.
