Looking for a last minute gift idea? Support habitat restoration, threatened species research, and environmental education

Whether you’re the kind of person who doesn’t like stuff, haven’t quite found the ideal gift or you’ve simply left it a little late to get your Christmas shopping done, we might just have a solution! NGT has personalised cards available. For donations received before the 23rd of December you can choose to be issued a lovely card for the recipient to recognise a gift made on their behalf – see the example below.

Please click on the link below to make a donation via PayPal and we will email you to confirm the contents of your card (which we can send electronically in time for Christmas!), plus send a donation receipt for your next tax return.

As a guide, we are sharing the following wish-list with suggested donation amounts, but remember that any amount is greatly appreciated and, if over $2, is tax-deductible.

  • $25 – Increase participation in environmental education. This amount covers a pair of rubber boots for one student to participate in wetland education activities.
  • $50Expand habitat for threatened species. This amount covers twenty native seedlings for revegetation plantings at an NGT Reserve. Along with hydrological works, revegetation is a key restoration activity at several NGT Reserves.
  • $100 – Help gather baseline fauna data. This amount covers the cost of one pitfall trap line. Pitfall trapping is an important method used to survey for reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals at NGT Reserves.
  • $450 – Support the next generation of ecologists. This amount covers an environmental education field trip for a local school.
