NGT Out and about — Photos from the field in August
ABC Radio recently visited Long Point & interviewed Bill Weatherly, as he has worked out where Nicholas Chevalier and Eugene von Guerard sat to paint their well-known paintings of Mt Abrupt and the Grampians ranges. Bill is actively involved with NGT and the Friends of the Forgotten Woodlands.

It’s all been happening at Walker Swamp this month!
Firstly, Ayesha & Lisa hosted members of Hamilton’s Napier Club last week. They visited Walker Swamp, and we showed them around and told them what was happening out there. It was perfect weather, and everyone had a lovely day.

Then, we held a planting day at Walker Swamp on Saturday 23rd August, and planted 650 plants in the ground. Thanks to some amazing volunteers.
And thirdly – here’s the ‘’new loo’’ at Walker Swamp! Reto has made the new basin & surrounds from things he found in the shed there – thanks to Tom! He’s made it so that if the water level in the rainwater tank is too low (it’s gravity-fed), there’s a special tap on the front of the bench that can run the water. We are so lucky to have such talented, capable and imaginative people working around us!
