NGT Out and about – Photos from the field in August

A bunch of fieldwork and education activities were completed recently over July and August in the Limestone Coast.

These included

  • a planting day at Mt Burr Swamp organised by Rosemary and Andy (NGT) with Burrandies Aboriginal Corporation rangers and field crew, and NGT volunteers;
  • a training day for Burrandies Aboriginal Corporation on Southern Brown Bandicoot digging ID at Overland Track Native Forest Reserve;
  • a planting at Hood’s Drift (in Kongorong East, southwest of Mt Gambier, SA) by Burrandies Aboriginal Corporation rangers and field crew;
  • Mt Burr Swamp ‘Walking the Seasons’ event organised by the Limestone Coast Landscape Board; and
  • a planting day at Lake McIntyre (Millicent) with Iberdrola staff, Millicent Field Nats and NGT staff and volunteers.

Steve Bourne from the Limestone Coast Landscape Board also sent through a gorgeous picture of some Magpie Goose chicks that we just had to share!

A planting day at Lake McIntyre (Millicent) with Iberdrola staff, Millicent Field Nats and NGT staff and volunteers. The tasks involved, fencing, planting, and mulching. This event was impressively supported and catered by Iberdrola:
