NGT’s welcomes Greg Kerr – our new Senior Ecologist based in Dunkeld
In the latest NGT staff news, I’m pleased to announce that Dr. Greg Kerr has just started with NGT (a couple of weeks ago) based in Dunkeld, Victoria, and will be working on projects across western Victoria.
Greg has joined NGT following five years working as a Landscape Ecologist with DEWNR, based on Eyre Peninsula, SA, but having grown up in the South West, Greg has strong family connections in the local area.
Greg has a research background in Behavioural Ecology and Spatial Ecology, and has developed a broad ecological knowledge through wide ranging experience working as a consultant in a variety of terrestrial and wetland roles both across Australia and internationally. He is skilled in Natural Resource Management, raising environmental awareness, wetlands, development of citizen science programs, fauna monitoring and habitat requirements, and environmental policy. Greg is also an award winning secondary teacher who loves to involve and empower community members in ecological monitoring and natural history.
All of this means that Greg is a very welcome addition to the team at NGT!
As well as initially managing several local grant funded projects, Greg will also be available in the future for professional consulting work. For any inquiries of Greg, or indeed anyone else in our team, please get in touch with Greg directly () or myself () and we’ll do our best to help.
