Photo of the week – April 3 – Wandering Percher at The Marshes NFR, SA
Posted at 02 Apr 2015 at 16:18h in News, Photo of the Month
This female Wandering Percher (Diplacodes bipunctata) was spotted at the Marshes Native Forest Reserve back in December. The female can usually be discerned from the male by its sandy or golden yellow colouring (males are red). They might surprise you sometimes by appearing in unlikely places, far from water – including dry Stringybark forest!
