Photo of the week – May 22 – Pixie’s Parasol at Kongorong, SA
This shot of a tiny (10 mm) Pixie’s Parasol (Mycena interrupta) was taken in a pine plantation at Kongorong, SA. A native to the region, Mycena interrupta can be found in small colonies on fallen logs and branches and is Australia’s only blue, gilled fungus to grow on wood – so keep an eye out for it!
