Talking wetlands at the Australia New Guinea Fish Association (ANGFA) convention in Melbourne

On Saturday the 12th October I headed over to Melbourne to attend the ANGFA convention, and gave a presentation about the ecology and management of three coastal wetlands near the SA/Vic border that NGT has a close association with: Ewen’s Ponds, Piccaninnie Ponds and Long Swamp. It was great to see the level of interest shown by ANGFA members in the wetlands of our region and, on the basis of our discussions, I hope we’ll have the opportunity to work on some projects together in the future.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting weekend, with a broad diversity of speakers and topics covered. Thanks to ANGFA members for being great hosts and for a organising a very successful weekend.
