The end of a dry spell…
After what feels like a long time since our last decent rain here at Mumbannar, it was nice to have it rain all afternoon on Saturday.
Not only has it freshened up the forest (and our vegie garden), but I think a good rain during a dry summer also freshens up the spirits of people too.
It has me looking forward to this coming winter, in the hope that we have another good season for wetlands in our region.
By the way, during the rain, we had a mob of Eastern Grey Kangaroos come by the front of the house, and two of the young males put on a bit of a display by having a fairly serious boxing match. Here is some of the action….
