The vital role of core funding support from Nature Impact Collective in NGT’s ongoing evolution

A little under 12 months ago, we shared the fantastic news that NGT was one of five organisations involved in conserving Australia’s inland waters that were selected for core funding support by Nature Impact Collective.

Nature Impact Collective is still a relatively new collaboration of philanthropic funders who are passionate about nature and committed to acting urgently to protect Australia’s iconic wild places and species.

In March this year, we were delighted to contribute to a Nature Impact Collective hosted gathering in Melbourne, where all five organisations supported in 2024 (Nature Impact Collective’s inaugural funding year) were invited to present.

At this event, we took the opportunity to briefly explain:
• the nature of NGT’s work and our current priorities;
• how NGT is travelling at the moment and what would help us meet our aspirations; and
• the contribution Nature Impact Collective funding is making to NGT’s organisational capacity.

In the weeks since this event was held, Nature Impact Collective has actually published a couple of great news stories on their website that we can also share with you today:
• a summary of NGT’s presentation and priorities (as outlined above) [click here to read or click first image below]
• a concise overview of the Melbourne event and insights from around Australia [click here to read, or click second image below]

We’d encourage you to follow the links to have a read, and will close by saying a big thank you to Nature Impact Collective for their fantastic support!
