Thursday 2nd December: Reef ramble at Cape Douglas

Explore the many and varied strange things that wash up along the beach and the creatures that live on the intertidal reef. No experience or special equipment necessary – just come along for a coastal adventure! This event begins close to low tide at 4pm.

Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th December: Red Gum health assessments at Walker Swamp

At Walker Swamp we monitor 100 Red Gums annually to keep track of their condition and health over time. Come along and learn how to identify each particular tree, as well as how to assess and record its condition. Once our volunteers feel confident with the method, we hope to expand this program into other nearby reserves.

Friday 17th December: Butterfly Walk at Penambol Conservation Park

Our regular Mt Gambier based Fieldwork Friday program wraps up on 17th December, with a visit to the Butterfly Walk at Penambol Conservation Park. Join Bryan to learn about the diversity and unique features of our local butterflies. Please note that this event is weather dependent.

Friday mornings: Native plant nursery, Mt Gambier

Come along to NGT’s nursery Friday mornings to assist with native plant propagation for revegetation projects around the region. If Fridays don’t suit, feel free to get in touch to discuss other options.
