Would you like to be NGT’s next Volunteer Coordinator?

As we have just farewelled Kimberley Height, who did a fantastic job of developing NGT’s volunteer program over the past several months, we are currently seeking a new Volunteer Coordinator.

This is a volunteer position and an excellent work experience, internship or volunteering opportunity for anyone interested in the fields of conservation, environmental management, communications or community engagement.

NGT are looking for someone to help out for a minimum of three hours per week, but apart from that, it’s a very flexible position and – needless to say – an opportunity to be part of something special with a small but highly active NGO. The position would be ideal for either a recent graduate looking to gain real working experience in the non-government conservation sector (noting that our graduate interns and volunteers typically go on to find employment elsewhere), or possibly someone who is retired and looking to put their communication and coordination skills to use for a good cause. Best of all, if you wish, you’ll also have the chance to spend time in some beautiful places (like NGT’s Restoration Reserves), among a great bunch of like-minded, friendly and motivated people!

You can download the position description here, if you or someone you know may be interested. Please get in contact via email or telephone 08 8797 8596 if you would like to have a chat about the role.

In the meantime, everything volunteer-related at NGT will be continuing as normal. Fieldwork Friday, nursery activities, regular volunteer emails and everything else will still be happening, just that there will be a different NGT staff member behind the communications and organising.

If you are not yet on our volunteer email list and would like to be kept up-to-date with all of the activities we have happening, please send us an email to let us know that you’d like to sign up to the volunteer email list.
