Your chance to wish someone special a very NGT Christmas!

Can you believe, it’s less than a month until Christmas already! If you’re anything like me, sometimes you struggle to come up with gift ideas that are ethical and environmentally sound. It can be especially difficult to think of appropriate gifts for other adults who don’t really need anything or want more stuff.

Last year we experimented with last minute gift certificates where gift-givers made donations towards the very last of the land purchase debt on our award winning Walker Swamp project. This idea was well-received by our supporters, and so we would like to offer a similar program this year.

If you make a donation to NGT before Christmas, you will be issued a personalised Christmas gift card (electronic or hard copy) for the recipient, to recognise the contribution that was made in their honour – see the example below.

Please click on the link below to make a donation via PayPal and we will email you to confirm the contents of your personalised Christmas gift card, plus send a donation receipt for your next tax return.

As a guide, we are sharing the following wish-list with suggested donation amounts, but remember that any amount over $2 is tax-deductible – and greatly appreciated!

  • $25 – Increase participation in environmental education. This amount covers a pair of rubber boots for one student to participate in wetland education activities.
  • $50Expand habitat for threatened species. This amount covers twenty native seedlings for revegetation plantings at an NGT Reserve. Along with hydrological works, revegetation is a key restoration activity at several NGT Reserves.
  • $100 – Help gather baseline fauna data. This amount covers the cost of one pitfall trap line. Pitfall trapping is an important method used to survey for reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals at NGT Reserves.
  • $450 – Support the next generation of ecologists. This amount covers an environmental education field trip for a local school.
