Event Details

Well, it’s certainly been a busy couple of years for us at Glenshera Swamp (Stipiturus CP), as we’ve progressed from restoration planning to on-ground works.

And so, after a wet July and August (and equally damp start to September), it is time to show you what this is all about – because, as much as we try our very best to convey complex scientific ideas through our reports and these blogs, there is nothing quite like seeing how things work out on site, with your own eyes!

Myself and Ben Taylor from NGT will be on hand to discuss the restoration trial underway to restore flows to Glenshera Swamp, while Randall Johnson from DEWNR will also be on-site to explain the latest news on progress of the large scale revegetation works underway in Stipiturus Conservation Park.

Places are available at the following sessions:

Sunday 24th September

  • 1:30 pm
  • 2:30 pm
  • 3:30 pm

Monday 25th September

  • 10 am
  • 12 (midday)
  • 2 pm

While anyone can book in for either day, you may like to consider that:

  • The Sunday sessions will be about 1 hour long and geared towards community members.
  • The Monday sessions may be slightly longer in duration (subject to questions/discussion) and are geared towards NRM professionals.

Places are limited and bookings, which are free, are essential.

Please email Toni Haywood () at Nature Glenelg Trust to book your place.

Further details and instructions will be provided to attendees before the day – but I will say that an early tip is not to forget your gumboots!
