‘Down to the wire’ — With one month until settlement, can you help us conclude the Wirey Swamp fundraiser?

After a busy few months to start 2025, the land purchase fundraiser that will allow us to create the Wirey Swamp Restoration Reserve is now nearing its conclusion.

If you are one of the 90 wonderful donors who have so far contributed to our public fundraising running total of $234,675, we’d like to say a huge thank you for getting on board with this new project, and putting us in a tremendous position where the target is now in reach, as we enter the final month.

After dollar-for-dollar matching by our plantation industry partners (OFO and ABP), we have so far raised $469,350 – or 78% of our $600,000 target.

To briefly recap for those who may be more recent subscribers to the NGT newsletter, this new project will enhance habitat for threatened wetland species in a strategic location adjacent to a Parks Victoria reserve, near a key flocking location for the threatened Brolga in south-eastern Australia.

As we count down to settlement at the end of June – and with all remaining donations up to our target amount being matched dollar for dollar – now is the time we could really use your support to help kick-start this new ecological restoration project.

NGT proudly guarantees that 100% of your donation will be directed towards the land purchase.
