Mt Gambier Young Carers enjoy a day out fishing at Port MacDonnell

In November 2016, Jess Bourchier and Ruan Gannon had the pleasure of hosting a ‘Fishing for the Future’ Clinic with 21 Young Carers from Mt Gambier, aged between 8 and 16. This clinic was one of 10 to be undertaken so far, as part of our South Australian Recreational Fishing grant. Despite strong winds and tangled fishing lines, a few tommy rough kept everyone excited. It was fantastic to work with this group again and provide an opportunity for Young Carers to enjoy an activity for themselves. You can hear all about the clinic in this ABC Radio interview with Young Carer Worker, Kym Galluccio.
