Photos from the field – NGT out and about in March

Andy at NGT’s Eaglehawk Waterhole Restoration Reserve has been busy capturing photographs of birdlife coming to the bird bath at camp. Below are a range of species he has seen over the recent summer months.

NGT’s Jess took Newbery Park Primary School students (from Millicent) on one of her Rockpool Rambles. At Beachport they found an amazing diversity of macroalgae and seagrass, and discussed their differences. They also found a couple of swimming anemones, among other treasures. They were even treated to a visit from the resident Southern Eagle Rays as the tide came in. The kids had a fantastic day exploring the rockpools and learning all about their inhabitants.
