You can now donate your bottles & cans refund to NGT! We’ve joined the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme

Victorian-based supporters of NGT now have a new option for financially supporting our work!

Nature Glenelg Trust is registered with the Victorian Container Deposit scheme as a charity, which means when you run your eligible single use containers through the recycling machines you can now choose to donate your refund to NGT.

Because the system is a little different in each part of the state we’ve laid it out below.

West Zone

• Download the CDS Vic West app and set up a profile/login.
• Open the app and click on the “Charities” menu and search for NGT or Nature Glenelg Trust. You’ll see that our campaign in Western Victoria is titled “Grampians Wetland Education Activities”, if you click on the NGT logo you can read the description of the campaign. All funds raised will go towards providing improved access and basic facilities at our Grampians reserves so that schools and other groups can more easily utilise the sites for educational activities.

• Scroll to the bottom of the description and hit the green “Set as payout” button. This will set NGT as your default payout option (of course you can change this at any time in the app).
• Head to you nearest recycling machine, open the app and scan the barcode that pops up on the front page (as shown below).

North Zone

• Download the CDS Vic North app and set up a profile/login.
• Open the app and click on “Donations” and search for NGT or Nature Glenelg Trust.
• Click on the NGT Logo.
• Scroll down and click on the blue “update” button to select NGT as your donation partner. This will set NGT as your default payout option (of course you can change this at any time in the app).
• Head to you nearest recycling machine, open the app and scan the barcode that pops up on the front page.

East Zone

• Download the CDS Vic East app and set up a profile/login.
• Head to you nearest recycling machine and open the app.
• Click on “Donation partner search” .
• Search for NGT or Nature Glenelg Trust.
• Click on the NGT Logo.
• Select “Show Zone ID”.
• Scan the bar code and start recycling.
