Narrawong East St wetland community working bee – a great success!

Community Volunteers busy at the East st Wetland Working Bee in Narrawong

A crowd of over 20 people joined NGT on a surprisingly sunny morning at Narrawong on Sunday the 5th of June, to give the East St wetland revegetation site some TLC.

Over 300 seedlings were planted to supplement existing revegetation activities, hand weeding was done around plant guards, and tall chicken-wire cages replaced on some seedlings to deter the persistent swamp wallabies and give the plants a bit more room to grow!

There was plenty to do, and the team worked hard to get through the ‘to-do’ list. It was great to see some of the students and families from the Narrawong District Primary School there to help, who are partnering with NGT in this project.

A big thanks to all involved!
